384 pages (complete). A poorly stored book that is still defiantly stoic and competent. The decorated cover is shabbily genteel. There is much wear all about. The seams of the spine are particularly worn - however the spine is still sure and resolute. The covers are scuffed and marked. There is a calling card pasted to the inside front cover for Marjorie J Smith of Bramcote Hall. She was the daughter of the last private owner of the hall "a shrewd and kindly man", Frederick Chatfield Hall. Sadly the house has now been demolished as being too expensive to maintain. The book is aged within. The pages are accepting of visits, clear, a little foxed, calm and firm. Despite wear the book is patient and at ease. fk. Book Condition: Poor. Binding: Hardcover.
