Buy this book on-line STEPHEN KING : Danse MacabreMacdonald, London, 1981
The most uncommon first UK edition. 8vo. 400pp. Card wrappers. Edges spotted and a touch of wear and light chafing to the wrapper extremities. Numeral inkstamp to the base of the first leaf and a small area of residue to the inner front wrapper where a slip of paper was once pasted, yet this does not appear to be an ex-institutional copy. A good sound copy of the author's first work of non-fiction; a study of horror fiction in print, television, radio and cinema, and its influences upon his own output, in part written to that King could avoid repetitive interview questions on the topic. Issued simultaneously in paperback and hardback, this UK edition is considerably more uncommon than the US issue of the same year, a result of a very small print run after the publisher erroneously assumed there would be little interest in non-fiction work by this author..
