Original publisher's beige wrappers. 4 3/4" x 7." All leaflets, complete. All pages of each leaflet, complete. Pages and covers are very clean and intact overall. Pages are age-toned but Fine. Covers have a few wrinkles. Small chip in lower corner of the fore-edge on the front cover. Head and tail of spine are chipped. A Very Good copy. This series is named after the Old South Meeting House, a historic Congregation church that was built in 1729. Part of its historical significance is being the meeting place of the Boston Tea Party in 1773. Excerpt from the Introduction: "The Old South Leaflets are prepared primarily for circulation among the attendants upon the Old South Lectures for Young People. The subjects of the Leaflets are immediately related to the subjects of the lectures, and they are intended to supplement the lectures and stimulate historical interest and inquiry among the young people."
