The author's second appearance in print (one letter aside): four pages extracted from 'Chamber's Journal of Popular Literature, Science and Art'. Fourth series, No. 64, Saturday March 18, 1865, and bound into gilt-lettered blue boards. The paperstock a little browned and spotted, but still a very good copy. There is a single small pencilled correction in the text, and a former owner's pencilled note states that this is the author's holograph correction, but I am unable to substantiate this claim.
