256 pages (complete). Inscribed by van Diggelen on the title page: "To N W Ayson - an old timer I admire from Tromp van Diggelen June 1956". Ayson had taken charge of the Ladysmith branch of the Standard Bank during the Siege. At one time he had joined the Matabeleland Police and was for a time in Bulawayo. He also spent time in the rough-house of the Goldfields. A much worn and inconsiderately stored copy. The dustjacket is weary, worn, torn, scuffed and marked. It is secure and sure. The boards have mild storage marks. They are healthy. The page-trims are foxed. Within, the contents have foxing. Yet, they are clear, certain, sound, assured and competent. The book may still be enjoyed and read with comfort. fk. Book Condition: Fair. Binding: Hardcover. Jacket: Poor Click here for full details of this book, to ask a question or to buy it on-line.
