First edition (first printing) in a library binding in orange cloth with red lettering to the backstrip and a red stamped 'ex libris' motif to the upper board, but no further evidence of institutional ownership. 8vo. 480pp. Top edge slightly dust soiled and spotted with a strip of browning to the free endpapers. The paperstock just a little tanned, yet still a nice bright copy in the uncommon non-price-clipped dust wrapper, which has been re-backed onto cloth and exhibits four or five small areas of edge-loss and one repaired tear. A good respectable copy of the successor to the author's noted Great War memoirs 'Testament of Youth' (1933).. Book. Book Condition: Good. Binding: Hardcover.
