18 pages, 8vo (225 x 145 mm), folding map at the end (Borman Engraving Co., N.Y.), grey printed light card wrappers, within later orange card wrappers

S.A.B.Volume 5 (Supplement) page 345, one copy listed. It mentions the map as being engraved by Formay Engraving Co. N.Y., but the the map in the present copy is clearly marked Bormay Engraving Co, N.Y. "Robert C. Coles (?), 'O2, U.S.M.A." appears in blue pencil on the front wrapper. The copy listed in S.A.B. seems to have been presented to Colonel Fiebeger of the US Military Academy suggesting that the author might have been connected to the Academy. It is a fairly straight forward account of the war up to the capture of Komati Poort on 26th September 1900.
