A superb sea chart of the entire strait south of the city of Dalian, to the west would be the city of Beijing. The islands are now known as Houkou Bay. Interestingly although the peninsula south of Dalian is Chinese it is here identified as Korea. This survey was carried out by W. Dillon of HMS Wellesley in 1840.
