Publisher's bright,crisp,clean,sharp-cornered, original plain black cloth boards with bright, crisp,blocked gilt lettered spine/backstrip,and clean plain white endpapers with some minimal and barely discernible foxing.  Visually the exterior appearance is exceptional - especially the dw/dj,and even internally,the book is also in an exceptional condition/ state of preservation and presentation for a book of it’s 40-year-old age. It is only the exterior faults described that prevents a slightly higher grading for the book. Despite them,it really is still an exceptional copy for its cleanliness and brightness and an essential addition to any Fay Weldon collection.
