Mild dampstaining throughout the book, not affecting readability; Color map in rear pocket. First edition, first printing, before editorial changes. Upon the book's release, a newspaper article complained that the book gave more space to the Sacco-Vanzetti affair than to the Boston Tea Party. This embarrassed the governor, who had enthusiastically endorsed the book without having read it.
