These have been taken mainly from Enock Lewis' 'Life of William Penn' . and a publication entitled 'North American Indians and Friends' . The chapter respecting the calumnies of T.B. Macaulay has been prepared for this work from reliable and uncontroverted authorities." A two page appendix at the conclusion of the book is an 1857 speech by Sam Houston, then a United States Senator from Texas, about friendly relations with American Indians. 172 pages.
