Stapled, green cardstock covered booklet with illustration of "Trotty Veck" on front. From cover, "A Trotty Veck Message". Dimensions 3 1/4 x 6 inches. 8 pages of quotations in red and black ink, various typography. Charles Swazey "Beanie" Barnat (1886-1977) and Seymour Eaton, Jr. (d. 1918) were two young tuberculosis patients who met in the Trudeau Sanatorium in Saranac Lake, New York. They started publishing the "Trotty Veck Messages" in 1916, little booklets of optimism and good cheer named after a character in Charles Dickens' story "The Chimes". Sadly, Seymour Eaton passed away in 1918, but Charles Barnet kept publishing these booklets until 1964.. Book. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Binding: Soft cover
