# 33281 (1157). Stereograph on gray board (7 x 3 1/2 inch) with commentary on the backside about the town of Indianapolis and its monumental structures to victory in wars. Home of the American Legion the town has an overly patriotic theme with major monuments to most of the modern wars. This image is centered on the Civil War memorial designed by Bruno Schmidt rising some 285 feet with a 38 foot statue of victory on the top. The city is in full view with trolleys and cars on the streets. At one time Indianapolis was the largest center for interurbans in the Untited States. Clean copy.. Book.
