# 485 of 'The Picturesque on the Pennsylvania Central R.R.' series. Stereograph on yellow board (6 3/4 x 3 1/4 inch) with label pasted on the backside. Photo has square corners with half inch dot stain on the right side. Pennsylvania Central Railroad was incorporated in 1846 and by the 1870s reached to New York, Michigan in the north, Chicago and St. Louis in the west, and Washington, DC in the south. Image located in Westmoreland County, Pa. of a double mainline running through a deep cut of a large rock formation with an engine and two workers in the distance.. Book.
