“De Gedenkwaardige West-Indise Voyagien” is a dutch translation of Benzoni’s La Historia del Mondo Nuovo, Venice, 1565. Benzoni, a soldier in the Spanish army, left Milan 1541 and spent 15 years stationed at various posts in America. This work is one of the first histories of America written from other than Spanish sources.
