Front board completely separated because cloth spine has split. Large square red discoloring from another book probably. Water stains. Book sits a little cocked. Rear board has large crease. All corn ers rubbed open with some damage. Ffep is half off. Text is stapled separate from spine. All pages have browned and are brittle. Some have damage. Yet this book is very sweet. Frontispiece is entitled 'May Day' and in color. Two little girls standing in front of oldtyme store. They have house aprons over dresses. Chickens pecking at ground. No illustrator named. Rest of book has many little stories and poetry. Many detailed black and white illustrations some of which are signed.
