Signed by Author(s)the book is signed and inscribed on the half title page by Gordimer thus : 'nadine gordimer university towns festival april 1955'.the bottom 60% of the half title page has been removed. there is an initial from a previous owner on the title page. the jacket is worn and torn. a small chip at the top of the spine of about 5mm and a lesser one at the bottom. about a quarter of the back flap of the jacket has been torn away. a rare jacket in any condition, this book still presents well in cellophane. the boards are rubbed and a little marked. there are a couple of old tape residue marks on the rear end page. a few light age related marks internally. the binding is excellent.. Book Condition: Good. Binding: Hardcover. Jacket: Fair

The dw. has moderate edge wear with a few short tears and some loss at the top of the spine and the top edge of the front flap. The spine is also lightly sunned.
