Good plus condition however spine is not. Last copyright shown in 1909 by the University Society. Title page shows the After School Club as publisher. Beautiful solid green covers with burgandy spine. Paper over cardboard covers. Paper and first layer of cardboard completely separated from spine. 90 percent of spine is accounted for. Spine has an elaborate gold illustration of a Robin Hood type character and gold lettering. Endpapers are beautiful gold and brown details with brown and white illustrations of a family in the middle of their parlor. Front hinge has only gauze holding front cover and there is damage to endpapers along spine. Other than all this book is quite tight and clean. Nice colored frontispiece of Beethoven and Mozart. Tissued. There is a partial list of contributors, assistant editors and advisors including Grover Cleveland and Edward Everett Hale.
