Original brown cloth board with gilt lettering stamped on to brown satin ribbon that closes the book. 8 X 12 inches. 274 pages. Deckled edges. Moore (1779-1852) was an Irish poet, singer, songwriter and entertainer. Contents of this book are, "The Veiled Prophet of Khorassan", "Paradise and the Peri", "The Fire Worshippers", "The Light of the Harem". Copy also has 132 illustrations which are done on black and white, tan, blue and green. A previous owner's name, Irene Stanton, Dec. 25th, 1887 is written in black in on the first page. Light foxing is beginning on several pages. Top corner of front cover is bent. Head is slightly bumped. One ribbon closure is slightly torn. Pages are very clean and complete. Binding is tight..
