Generally a clean and fresh copy with gorgeous illustrations that I feel would have inspired Peake! By coincidence one of his grandsons walked into the shop after I wrote this and asked for me as I am in contact with his aunt who runs an Instagram page dedicated to Maeve Gilmore, Peake's wife and another great artist. I showed him this book and he agreed that there were similarities and then told me Stevenson was Peake's favourite writer and he could recite the whole of Treasure Island off by heart! I love my job!
