"Merrick of Merryhill" was a ten episode serial Henry Treece conceived for "Swift" an English cartoon magazine for children. Treece wrote the story line and the magazine's artist provided the drawings. Each episode was 10 frames and covered one page of the magazine. In it, a school boy hero, David Merrick, battles an evil headmaster who has kidnapped a young American Indian boy as a way of gaining access to uranium ore on the boy's reservation. Treece (1911-66) was a writer of wide interests and talents. He was an acclaimed poet, author of novels for both adults and juveniles and also wrote non-fiction.. Book.
