UNIDENTIFIED : 1939 ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPT DIARY AND PROUDLY BOASTFUL SCRAPBOOK OF THE GERMAN INVASION AND OCCUPATION OF POLAND METICULOUSLY COMPILED AND LIKELY CREATED BY A GERMAN OFFICER

8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. On offer is an interesting, original German language manuscript and photographic diary documenting Germany's 1939 invasion and occupation of Poland and the official start of World War II handwritten and compiled by a German soldier. The unidentified officer or soldier, [though the work seems of a very well educated hand and erudite so we assume an officer], presents a complete work filled with page after page of news clippings and his further commentary. Each page is meticulously written in ink and illustrated with newspaper photos. The work is undoubtedly boastful of the Nazi onslaught as the handwritten narrative commentary begins with a transcription of Hitler addressing the Wehrmacht, then clippings running from dead Poles lined up in the snow to German officers decorating Christmas trees. The 8½ x 6½ khaki color leatherette diary is 76 pages, bound with corded string. Overall in superb shape though some glue has lost its grip and a few clippings are loose. VG+.. Manuscript. Book Condition: Very Good+
